More butter please

Although my girl friends didn't all make it for the girls night out last night, my good friend Raegan her friend Desi, Breanna and I met up at this bar  located at 11th street San Francisco called Butter.  Butter is a small but very cool place decorated to match what it would look like inside a trailer. They serve $8 dollar very strong cocktail drinks served in a normal drinking glass.  I am not a beer drinker so I am not sure how much beers are over there but I did have my very first jello shot..oh yea!.  It is definitely a casual bar but baggy clothing are prohibited so the party goers who I found very friendly and approachable makes an effort to dress effortlessly chic.  A dj spins good mixture of 80's pop and rock with a hint of old school Dre and snoop and a tad bit of current pop hits and if you don't feel like dancing and not into people watching, you can always stare at the 2 movie projector projecting weird 80's all women wrestling and well just random movie.  Now there is a $5 cover charge but I assure you that this spot is a good place to visit if you are looking for good drinks, happy people, and dance your ass off minus the ever pretentious dance floor.

It's Chinatown

I recently started collecting vintage hats and I can't help but to be inspired by Faye Dunaway's hats in her films.  In the beginning of my studies in films I noticed that most movies that my professors asked us to watch are films that were usually starred by Miss Dunaway. My favorite film by her is the Roman Polanski film Chinatown in which she played a very troubled woman who is in quest to help Jack Nicholson's character solve a crime. I was immediately drawn with her style. The very thin eye brows and of course her hats that made her characters even more mysterious. I mean just imagine her character Evelyn Mulwray without her hats, do you think she'll be as fabulous and mysterious?

Inspired inside Grey Gardens

Some people prefers shiny modern lines of furniture but not me. I love the authenticity that you find in old furniture. I guess it's the art of putting together pieces that don't belong together and making it into your own version.  I love the smell of old things as it makes me think of history and the idea that someone in the past adored it at some point. That alone makes me want to resurrect it and share the same love and joy the past owner once had.  The interior set from HBO movie Grey Gardens captures everything that I hope to have one day in my living room.

Hearst Castle Bungalow

I just keep dreaming of all the possible outfits I can get away with if I live in one of the bungalow guest houses at Hearst Castle.  Think sleek black backless number while drinking scotch or pouf 1940's red dress cinched on the waist while having martini...Dreamy..

Keep it Fab...

What class are you in? ask Oprah. I was really shocked to find out how many people out there are class conscious. I can't help but to wonder, what would I do should we loose our income? I've done my fair share of unfortunate circumstances to the point that I lived in my car with my whole wardrobe stored in the trunk.  Yes I get paranoid when I hear the word recession, what would I do? How can I keep up with my guilty pleasures? Will I have to give up everything? But then two icons that have remained my heroes reminded me that the power of style, fashion, and determination can take you as far as you can dream.  Big Edie and Small Edie (Jackie O's relatives and former socialites became infamous for living in their decaying Hamptons House called Grey Gardens with lots of cats and no running water) serves as my inspiration that being fabulous doesn't cost anything and can act as a symbol of defiance, in fact. I love the movie poster. Little Edie wearing a fur coat in front of her crumbling home is a powerful image that represents persistence and courage to remain who you are no matter what class you're in..

Napa Oh Napa

I discovered a quaint little wine chateau in Napa called Domaine Carneros.  Loving everything french I fell inlove with this winery immediately. I am taking my girls for a girls weekend outing here and some bubblies and good food..What could go wrong?

Sexy Photos

Always been so inspired by old hollywood startlets. I invited myself to take sexy photos of my sister in law Kelly. Kelly is a fair skinned bombshell with green eyes who is always so pleasing to take photos of. She's all american girl who is very modest on her poses. Nevertheless the result were fantastic and I wish I can share the photos but since it's sexy the photos isn't for the publics viewing..Here is the one and only shot I can share and it reminds me of a modern Scarlett O'Hara...
