Little Chanel riding hood

I am dying to have one of the pieces Karl Lagerfeld put out on his Spring 2010 Chanel show. Those colorful clogs are just amazing. I know the interviewer's think that it reminded her of Marie Antoinette but it sort of reminded me of the Little Red Riding Hood girl but this time around she wore Chanel to venture out to the woods instead of her legendary red cape. I love how giddy the girls look as they walk the runway and ofcourse the grand Chanel runway never disappoints.. Karl always takes his audience = the world into a whole 'nother level of ecstasy.

Noir is the new black..

Due to our current economic situation it makes sense that fashion is turning to 1940's style as this time mimics that decade. 1940's inherited the tumultuous decade of the 30's and it has endured the deepest and darkest moments of our history. But 40's also showed signs of progress and new beginning. We rely on fashion for frivolity during hard times, to mask the hardship and to shake troubles away, therefore the designers cater us that need. John Galliano did a good job for taking a fresh take of 1040's film noir for his Christian Dior Spring 2010 collection. I think this collection should inspire us to work harder in looking good when life is tough...

I want me some Luella!

I just couldn't get enough of the spring fashion show looks lately and it's really making me want to hold off on Fall Season especially now that Luella just showed her Spring looks. I love the 60's vibe and quirky hairstyles. I suppose I can take inspiration from the looks and wear something like it for the rest of the sunny days this year. Good thing that I live in California where there's more sunny days and no snow season.

The Pied Piper.

I was easily entranced by the new Erin Fetherson Autumn/Fall 2009 collection video. There's simply something about watching a fashion show in a film sense. I suppose it's because we relate film closer to reality than watching glamazonians strut their stuff in a catwalk which is most often unrealistic. I personally love this video as I am an eternal lover of anything that glitters and glamour of pouf skirts, cats eye make up, and hosiery. I love the sparkly little mouse masks! Hope you enjoy the video as much as I did.
